This bill
establishes a 2-year pilot program to award grants to local education
agencies to provide professional development in computer science
instruction. It includes General Fund
appropriations of $50,000 in fiscal year 2021-22 and $50,000 in fiscal year
2022-23 to a newly created Professional Development Grant Pilot Program
account within the Department of Education for this purpose. The bill also
includes Federal Expenditures Fund and Other Special Revenue Funds base
allocations of $500 per year for fiscal years 2021-22 and 2022-23 to a newly
established Professional Development Grant Pilot Program Fund in order to
expend any funds received from federal and outside sources. |
|

to the Department of Education to administer the program and to prepare and
