This bill
establishes a 2-year pilot program to award grants to local education
agencies to provide professional development in computer science
instruction. The Department of
Education will require Federal Expenditures Fund and Other Special Revenue
Funds base allocations of $500 per year for fiscal years 2020-21, 2021-22 and
2022-23 to a newly created Professional Development Grant Pilot Program Fund
in order to expend any funds received from federal and outside sources. |
|
Additional costs
to the Department of Education to administer the program and to prepare and
submit the required report can be absorbed within existing budgeted
resources. |
