|
This bill allows
the Department of Marine Resources to charge an application fee of up to $50
to enter a lottery for a scallop license. The fee is expected to increase
Other Special Revenue Funds revenue to the Scallop Research Fund (SRF) by
$50,000 annually beginning in fiscal year 2021-22. This estimate assumes that
approximately half of the 2,000 entries that the department has historically
received will continue to apply after the enactment of the new application
fee. The department will require an ongoing Other Special Revenue Funds
allocation in the SRF of $50,000 starting in fiscal year 2021-22 to allow for
the expenditure of the additional revenue. |
