This bill
eliminates the current exemptions from the minimum wage law that allow an
employer to pay a wage that is less than the minimum wage to individuals with
disabilities. Because no public or
private employer currently holds a special certificate authorizing the
payment of less than the minimum wage to a person with a mental or physical
disability, there is no current fiscal impact associated with eliminating the
exemption. |
