This bill changes the year for the State's goal to eradicate childhood lead poisoning from 2010 to 2030 and requires that a report on progress toward meeting that goal be submitted to the Legislature by January 1, 2025 and requires that all Maine children be tested for unsafe exposure to lead at one year of age and 2 years of age. The funding required to meet the provisions of this bill was included in the biennial budget and no further funding is required.
