Fiscal Detail and Notes
The bill includes General Fund appropriations to the Department of Health and Human Services of $614,273 in fiscal year 2019-20 and $631,780 in fiscal year 2020-21 for 2 limited-period Environmental Specialist III positions, one Office Associate II position, one Public Health Nurse I position, one Chemist I position and one Chemist II position to handle all the duties associated with the increased caseload of inspections and the blood lead testing. Fund for a Healthy Maine allocations are also included to continue funding for 5 limited-period Environmental Specialist III positions and for the required inspections. Federal Block Grant Fund allocations are also included for the federal match on some of the required inspections.
