An Act To Set a Minimum Wage for School Support Staff
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §4014 is enacted to read:
§ 4014. Minimum wage for school support staff
Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, the minimum hourly wage for school support staff is $16.00 per hour. For the purposes of this section, "school support staff" means a public school employee who is not an administrator, as defined in section 13001-A, subsection 1, or a certified teacher subject to the minimum salary requirement pursuant to section 13407.
