and Notes |
This bill includes
General Fund appropriations of $500,000 annually through fiscal year 2020-21
beginning in fiscal year 2018-19 to a newly established Live Fire Service
Training Facilities Fund program within the Maine Community College System to
provide grants for the construction and repair or replacement of regional
live fire service training facilities in the State. The funds appropriated do
not lapse back to the General Fund at the end of each fiscal year but must be
carried forward to be used for the purposes established. |
Additional costs
to the Maine Fire Protection Services Commission associated with establishing
grant award criteria, evaluating grant applications and awarding grants to
municipalities can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
