This bill will
reduce the statewide E-9-1-1 surcharge and the prepaid wireless E-9-1-1
surcharge from 45¢ per line to 40¢ per line.
This change would result in a reduction of $722,213 in Other Special
Revenue Funds revenue for the Public Utilities Commission, starting in fiscal
year 2018-19. The bill also includes
a one-time allocation of $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2018-19 for grants to
encourage the consolidation of dispatch centers. |
