Currently, the
Penobscot Nation and the Passamaquoddy Tribe each receive half, or 2%, of 4%
of the net slot machine income from the Oxford Casino. This bill would add
the Houlton Band of Maliseet and the Aroostook Band of Micmacs to the
distribution. The amount distributed would remain at 4%, resulting in each
tribal government receiving 1% of net slot machine income. |
