Fiscal Detail and Notes
This amendment eliminates the General Fund appropriations of $114,776 in fiscal year 2017-18 and $79,980 in fiscal year 2018-19 and removes the requirement that the Department of Education establish a youth mental health first aid training program for health educators in secondary schools.
This amendment requires local school administrative units (SAU's) to establish a youth mental health first aid training program for its health educators in secondary schools.  This amendment specifies that the training be provided only if funding is received by the SAU specifically for this purpose from federal funds, private funds or other funding sources.
