This bill
eliminates the requirement that political candidates, party committees and
political action committees report certain campaign contributions and
expenditures within 24 hours to the Commission on Governmental Ethics and
Election Practices. The modification
of reporting requirements is anticipated to result in a minor loss of Other
Special Revenue Funds revenue to the commission because of a reduction in
penalties assessed for late-filed reports. |
