The Judicial
Department will require a General Fund appropriation of $43,200 in fiscal
year 2018-19 for the additional mediation costs that will result from
increasing the small claims limit from $6,000 to $15,000. Increasing the limit may also require
additional judge, clerk and marshal resources. An estimate of those additional costs is
not available at this time, but would be in addition to the $43,200 contained
in this bill. |
