This bill provides funding to reprogram the Maine telecommunications and routing operations system, or METRO, data switch within the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of State Police in order to support the enhancement of data sharing with the Maine Judicial Branch for data relating to warrants, bail conditions, protection from abuse or harassment orders and criminal history record information and similar public safety-related data exchanges.
