An Act To Shorten the Residency Requirements for In-state Tuition
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §10014 is enacted to read:
§ 10014. In-state tuition
The University of Maine System, Maine Community College System and Maine Maritime Academy may not require a student to have been a resident of this State for longer than one year to be eligible for in-state tuition.
SUMMARY
This bill provides that the University of Maine System, Maine Community College System and Maine Maritime Academy may not require a student to have been a resident of this State for longer than one year to be eligible for in-state tuition.
