An Act Regarding Transfers of Liquor between Licensed Manufacturers' Facilities
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 28-A MRSA §1355-A, sub-§2, ¶K is enacted to read:
K. A licensee with multiple facilities licensed for the manufacture of liquor under this section may transfer product produced by the licensee from one of those facilities to another for the purposes of selling liquor for off-premises or on-premises consumption as permitted by laws administered by the United States Department of the Treasury, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, including any requirements to maintain records regarding transfers between facilities.
SUMMARY
This bill permits a manufacturer who manufactures liquor at multiple licensed locations to transport the manufacturer's own product between those locations, as is allowed under federal law.
