An Act To Establish as a Class D Crime the Intentional Photographing of a Minor without Consent of the Minor's Parent or Guardian by an Individual Required To Register as a Sex Offender
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 17-A MRSA §262 is enacted to read:
§ 262. Prohibited photographing of a minor
1. As used in this section, the following terms have the following meanings.
A. "Minor" means a person who has not attained 18 years of age.
B. "Photograph" has the same meaning as in section 281, subsection 3.
2. A person is guilty of prohibited photographing of a minor if that person is required to register pursuant to Title 34-A, chapter 15 and intentionally photographs a minor without the consent of the minor's parent or guardian.
3. Prohibited photographing of a minor is a Class D crime.
