An Act To Transfer Funds to the Maine Clean Election Fund To Provide Adequate Funding for Maine Clean Election Fund Candidates
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. Transfer to Maine Clean Election Fund. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the State Controller shall transfer $1,700,000 no later than September 1, 2018 from the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund to the Maine Clean Election Fund established in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 21-A, section 1124 in order to ensure that adequate funds are available to candidates participating in the Maine Clean Election Act.
