Resolve, Directing the Secretary of State To Review and Recommend Updates to the Maine Motorcycle Driver Education Program
Sec. 1. Secretary of State to review and recommend updates to the motorcycle driver education provisions. Resolved: That the Secretary of State shall review the motorcycle driver education provisions in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 29-A, section 1352 and recommend updates to the provisions based upon changes in law, accident data, current driving trends, insurance industry developments and other relevant information that the secretary determines appropriate; and be it further
Sec. 2. Report. Resolved: That the Secretary of State shall submit a report with the secretary's findings and any recommended legislation to the Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety by December 6, 2017. The Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety may report out a bill based upon the report to the Second Regular Session of the 128th Legislature.
