Under current law, a naturopathic doctor may prescribe nonprescription medications, homeopathic remedies, vitamins and minerals, hormones, local anesthesia and immunizations that are designated by rule by a subcommittee of the Board of Complementary Health Care Providers. This bill proposes to expand the authority of naturopathic doctors to prescribe certain naturally occurring medications.
