An Act To Provide a Travel Reimbursement to Members of the Maine National Guard
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 37-B MRSA §390-D is enacted to read:
§ 390-D. Mileage
A member of the National Guard is entitled to reimbursement for travel expenses from the member's residence to and from training exercises authorized by the Adjutant General or an assistant adjutant general. The rate of reimbursement is the rate specified in Title 5, section 8.
SUMMARY
This bill allows a member of the Maine National Guard to obtain reimbursement for travel to and from authorized training exercises at the same rate paid to state employees who use their private vehicles for travel for state business.
