An Act To Give Veterans Priority in the Issuance of Antlerless Deer Permits
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §11152, sub-§9 is enacted to read:
9. Veteran priority. An antlerless deer permit system adopted by the commissioner pursuant to this section must give priority in the issuance of permits to veterans. For purposes of this subsection, "veteran" means a person who was honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States or the National Guard.
