Amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting the following:
‘An Act Concerning Screening of Newborns for Krabbe Disease’
Amend the bill in section 1 in paragraph D-1 in the last line (page 1, line 4 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " lysosomal storage disorders" and inserting the following: ' Krabbe disease'
Amend the bill in section 2 in the last 2 lines (page 1, lines 9 and 10 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "disorders known as Krabbe, Pompe, Gaucher, Fabry and Niemann-Pick diseases" and inserting the following: 'disorder known as Krabbe disease'
Amend the bill by adding after section 2 the following:
‘Sec. 3. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.

Initiative: Provides allocations to add to the newborn screening program the lysosomal storage disorder known as Krabbe disease.

SUMMARY
This amendment is the minority report of the committee. It limits the lysosomal storage disorders addressed in the bill to Krabbe disease and adds an appropriations and allocations section to cover the additional costs of screening.
