‘Sec. 1. Report. The Department of Public Safety, in consultation with the Maine Diversion Alert Program, shall review opportunities for collaboration with the Controlled Substances Prescription Monitoring Program established in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 22, chapter 1603 and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to improve the quality of health care and decrease the prevalence of substance use disorders. The Department of Public Safety shall report in writing on the results of the review by December 6, 2017 to the Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety.
