Legislative Cost/Study
	The general operating expenses of this task force are projected to be $375 in fiscal year 2015-16 and $1,375 in fiscal year 2016-17.  The Legislature's budget includes $10,000 in fiscal year 2015-16 and $10,000 in fiscal year 2016-17 for legislative studies. The balance currently available in fiscal year 2015-16 is $2,725. Whether these amounts are sufficient to fund all studies will depend on the number of studies authorized by the Legislative Council and the Legislature. The additional costs of providing staffing assistance during the interim can be absorbed utilizing existing budgeted staff resources. The task force may seek outside funding to defray General Fund costs.  The Study Commissions - Funding program in the Legislature has Other Special Revenue Funds allocations of $500 in each year of the 2016-2017 biennium. The Legislative Council can authorize the expenditure of any funds contributed and approved for this study task force by financial order.

	Additional costs to the Department of Education associated with the Commissioner or the commissioner's designee serving on the task force can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
