The Department of
Education estimates the total cost to build a system to collect and aggregate
data on the certification of content area proficiency reported by school
administrative units to be $100,000.
The department anticipates needing $75,000 in General Fund support in
fiscal year 2017-18 and an additional $25,000 in General Fund support in
fiscal year 2018-19 for contracted staff to build the system. This estimate is based on the assumption by
the department that 75% of the work will be completed in fiscal year 2017-18
and 25% will be completed in fiscal year 2018-19. |
|
Additional costs
to the Department of Education associated with the rulemaking process can be
absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
