The bill adds an
Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $500 to establish the Maine
National Guard Postsecondary Fund in the Department of Defense, Veterans and
Emergency Management to allow the department to spend any money received into
the Fund. |
|
This amendment
will reduce tuition revenue to the University of Maine System, the Maine
Community College System and Maine Maritime Academy due to a required tuition
waiver for certain participants in the Maine National Guard. The impact to the individual institutions
can not be determined at this time. |
