This bill
establishes the Maine State Police Drug Interdiction Unit and provides that
it be established within existing budgeted resources. The Department of Public Safety is required
to use currently vacant positions to dedicate 3 State Police Officer
positions and one State Police Sergeant position to the new unit. The impact on existing programs and
services cannot be determined at this time. |
