Prohibiting
municipalities from enacting ordinances related to a minimum wage could save
the State future expenditures in any instance where a municipality might
choose to impose a minimum wage, indexed or otherwise, that could exceed the
lowest salary paid to a state employee within that municipality. No estimate
is made at this time on the amount or probability of any savings. |
