This bill
requires the Secretary of State to produce and issue a simulated registration
plate commemorating the bicentennial of the State for a fee of $25. $16 will
go to the Maine State Cultural Affairs Council and $9 will go to the
Secretary of State. This fiscal note assumes a total of 1,800 plates will be
produced, with 900 issued in fiscal year 2017-18 and 900 issued in fiscal
year 2018-19. |

The Maine State
Cultural Affairs Council will require an Other Special Revenue Funds
allocation of $14,400 in each of fiscal years 2017-18 and 2018-19 to allow
expenditure of the revenue expected to be received through the sale of these
plates. |
|
The Secretary of
State will require an Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $2,311 in
fiscal year 2017-18 in order to produce and issue the commemorative
plates. Other Special Revenue Funds
revenue to the department is expected to increase by $8,100 in fiscal years
2017-18 and 2018-19 from the sale of these plates. |
