The bill
establishes the Species Management Education Fund within the Department of
Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (IFW) and raises certain hunting and trapping
licenses by $1 and directs $1 from these licenses to go to this fund. The
fund is to be used to educate the public on the management of game species.
Other Special Revenue Funds revenue to this new fund will be an estimated
$203,516 in fiscal year 2015-16 and $203,516 in every subsequent fiscal year.
Additional costs to IFW to convene a stakeholders group to develop
recommendations for a 5-year public outreach campaign on IFW's efforts to
manage game species are expected to be minor and can be absorbed within
existing budgeted resources. |
