This legislation
will allow the Bureau of Labor Standards within the Department of Labor to
remain in compliance with injury and illness recordkeeping requirements of
the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Being out of compliance with the federal
requirements may result in the loss of up to $400,000 in federal Occupational
Safety and Health Administration grant funds that are used to reimburse the
Bureau of Labor Standards for the costs associated with conducting public
sector consultation and enforcement services. |
