|
This legislation
allows the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management to
receive seized money and assets for counter-drug activities and could result
in increased revenue to the department. The bill includes an Other Special
Revenue Funds allocation to the department of $500 beginning in fiscal year
2015-16 to allow the expenditure of any monies received. Any assets or
proceeds received must be used to support counter-drug activities. The amount
received in any given year will depend on the frequency and nature of the
cases that arise and cannot be predicted at this time. |
