This legislation
requires the Department of Secretary of State to provide absentee ballots
with pre-paid postage return envelopes.
The department would require a General Fund appropriation of $36,540
in fiscal year 2016-17 for the costs of the postage as well as temporary
staffing to process the envelopes. |
