Fiscal Detail and Notes
The bill limits timber harvesting on certain land to not exceed in total an average of 141,500 cords per year over any two year period. The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (ACF) may adopt rules to set a different harvesting level if an independent timber inventory conducted after July 1, 2015 establishes a different sustainable harvest. ACF would incur rulemaking costs of $3,700 in the fiscal year in which the rulemaking took place. ACF has sufficient resources to absorb these costs.
