This bill
includes General Fund appropriations of $75,000 in fiscal year 2015-16 and
$75,000 in fiscal year 2016-17 only for the New Mainers Resouce Center for
its program to assist foreign-trained skilled professionals. |

Public Law 2013,
chapter 368, Part A, section 23 included General Fund appropriations of
$75,000 per year in fiscal year 2013-14 and fiscal year 2014-15 to the Adult
Education program within the Department of Education for a full-time
Coordinator position to establish a welcome center for foreign-trained
workers within the Portland adult education program and to develop a
comprehensive program designed to serve foreign-trained workers. |

The Governor's
Proposed Budget for the 2016-2017 Biennium includes $75,000 in both fiscal
year 2015-16 and 2016-17 in the baseline budget for the Adult Education
program within the Department of Education to continue funding for this
initiative. |
