Increasing the
trap limit from 550 traps to 600 will eliminate Class D violations related to
that range.
A reduction in fines will decrease General Fund revenue by minor amounts. |

and Notes |

|
|
The bill raises
the number of traps that may be placed or maintained by individuals
registered to obtain Swans Island Lobster Conservation Area trap tags from
550 to 600. This will increase Other Special Revenue Funds revenue from
increased trap tag sales by an estimated $1,100 to the Lobster Management
Fund within the Department of Marine Resources in fiscal year 2014-15 and in
every subsequent fiscal year. |
