Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of Health and Human Services will require General Fund appropriations of 1,001,410 in fiscal year 2015-16 and 1,500,817 in fiscal year 2016-17 to amend its rules to provide for increases in the personal needs allowances of residents in residential care facilities from $70 to $90 and for residents in nursing facilities from $40 to $50. Federal Expenditures Fund allocations will also be required for additional matching federal revenue expected to be available.
