An Act To Exempt Certain Liquor Sales Representatives from Licensing Requirements

Sec. 1. 28-A MRSA §1502, first ¶,  as amended by PL 1997, c. 373, §135, is further amended to read:

The A sales representatives representative shall apply to the bureau for a license disclosing the person, firm or corporation represented , except that a license is not required for a sales representative who is employed by a distributor and who does not participate in product sampling under section 1504 or tasting events with the public under section 1505.

SUMMARY

This bill exempts from licensing by the Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations a sales representative who is employed by a distributor and who does not participate in product sampling or tasting events with the public.
