Amend the bill section 1 in §1642 in subsection 2 in paragraph A in the 4th line (page 1, line 21 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " by medical experts and national" and inserting the following: ' by established medical experts in the field, a national'

Amend the bill section 1 in §1642 in subsection 2 in paragraph A in the last line (page 1, line 22 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " organizations" and inserting the following: ' organization and a state-based medical organization'

SUMMARY

This amendment makes the following changes:

1. It requires that hospitals, physicians and health professionals offer, rather than provide as required by the bill, information to expectant or new parents; and

2. It specifies that the information must have been reviewed by medical experts who are established in the field and by a state-based medical organization.
