SUMMARY

This bill repeals the requirement that the Commissioner of Public Safety and the Attorney General pursue federal funding to establish a cold case homicide unit. The bill also repeals the provision of law that makes establishment of a cold case homicide unit contingent upon availability of federal funding. The provision of law directing the Attorney General in collaboration with the Commissioner of Public Safety to establish a cold case homicide unit is not repealed.
