Amend the bill in section 3 in subsection 5-A by striking out all of the 2nd blocked paragraph (page 1, lines 36 and 37 in L.D.)

(1) For a supply of not more than 4 days with no refills; and
(2) To an individual for whom the certified registered nurse anesthetist has, at the time of the prescription, established a client or patient record.
For the purposes of this paragraph, schedule II, III, IIIN, IV and V prescription drugs are those designated as such pursuant to the federal Controlled Substances Act of 1970, 21 United States Code, Section 812;’

This amendment is the minority report of the committee. It makes changes to the section of the bill that defines the population focus for an advanced practice registered nurse and changes the section of the bill regarding the scope of practice to allow a certified registered nurse anesthetist to prescribe schedule II, III, IIIN, IV and V prescription drugs for a supply of not more than 4 days to individuals with whom the certified registered nurse anesthetist has established a client or patient record.
