Amend the resolve by striking out the title and substituting the following:
‘Resolve, Directing the Department of Health and Human Services To Conduct a Review of MaineCare Reimbursement Rates for Dental Procedures’
Amend the resolve by striking out everything after the title and before the summary and inserting the following:
‘Sec. 1. Dental procedure review. Resolved: That the Department of Health and Human Services shall conduct a review of the reimbursement rates under the MaineCare program for dental codes D0120, D0140, D0150, D0220, D0272, D0330, D1110, D1120, D1208, D1351, D2140, D2150, D2160, D2330, D2331, D2332, D2391, D2392, D2393, D3330, D7140 and D7210 to determine if the current levels of reimbursement are appropriate for recruiting and retaining sufficient numbers and geographic coverage of dentists providing services to MaineCare members. The department shall report its findings to the Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services no later than January 1, 2016. The Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services may report out legislation related to the report to the Second Regular Session of the 127th Legislature.’

This amendment, which is the minority report of the committee, replaces the resolve. It requires the Department of Health and Human Services to conduct a review of the reimbursement rates under the MaineCare program for the dental codes in the resolve to determine if the current reimbursement levels are appropriate for recruiting and retaining sufficient numbers and geographic coverage of dentists providing services to MaineCare members. The department shall report its findings no later than January 1, 2016 to the Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services. The joint standing committee may report out legislation related to the report to the Second Regular Session of the 127th Legislature.
