An Act To Benefit Senior Hunters
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §11152, sub-§1-B is enacted to read:
1-B. Residents 70 years of age or older; antlerless deer. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a resident of the State who is 70 years of age or older and possesses a valid resident license under this Part may take an antlerless deer without a permit during the open season on deer under section 11401. The department shall designate which hunting zones are open to the taking of antlerless deer pursuant to this subsection based on the department’s management of the deer herd statewide.
