An Act To Allow for the Purchase and Use of Specialty Racing Fuel in Maine
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 38 MRSA §585-I, sub-§4 is enacted to read:
4. Exception for motor vehicle racing. Notwithstanding subsection 2, gasoline that contains more than 1/2 of 1% by volume MTBE may be sold for or used by a motor vehicle in a race under Title 8, chapter 22, as long as the gasoline containing MTBE is sold and distributed in prepackaged drums, pails or other containers.
