An Act To Amend the Laws Governing Funding of Maine Clean Election Act Candidates
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 21-A MRSA §1125, sub-§5, ¶C-2 is enacted to read:
C-2. As a candidate for Governor, collected all seed money contributions from registered voters in the State or, as a candidate for State Senator or State Representative, collected all seed money contributions from registered voters in the candidate's electoral division;
SUMMARY
This bill requires candidates for Governor to collect all seed money contributions under the Maine Clean Election Act, if any, from registered voters in the State and a candidate for State Senator or State Representative to collect all seed money contributions, if any, from registered voters in the candidate's electoral division.
