Resolve, To Exempt Local Fuel Delivery Vehicles from Hours-of-service Restrictions during Winter Months

Sec. 1. Department of Public Safety, Bureau of State Police to adopt rules to amend Maine Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Resolved: That, pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 29-A, section 555, the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of State Police shall adopt major substantive rules as defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A to amend Chapter 4, Maine Motor Carrier Safety Regulations by amending the rule adopting by reference 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter 395 to exempt intrastate motor carriers, vehicles and drivers delivering fuel oil and bulk petroleum products that operate less than 100 air miles from their regular place of business from hours-of-service restrictions annually from December 1st to May 1st.
