Resolve, To Improve Access to Dental Care through a Pediatric Medical Benefit
Sec. 1. Pediatric medical benefit. Resolved: That the Department of Health and Human Services shall amend Chapter 101: MaineCare Benefits Manual to ensure equity between payment for preventive dental services provided for pediatric members, including fluoride varnish applications and oral evaluations, by medical providers at federally qualified health centers, which must be set at a rate greater than the ambulatory encounter rate used for medical providers, and payment for such preventive dental services provided in settings other than federally qualified health centers.
