Resolve, Directing the Department of Health and Human Services To Increase Reimbursement Rates for Home-based and Community-based Services

Sec. 1. Department of Health and Human Services to increase reimbursement rates for home-based and community-based services. Resolved: That the Department of Health and Human Services shall increase the reimbursement rates for home-based and community-based services in accordance with this section. The department shall raise the hourly reimbursement rate:

1. By 66% for home health aid and personal support services provided under the provisions of Chapter 101: MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter II, Sections 43 and 96, and under the waiver services provisions of Section 19;

2. By 33% for registered nurse and licensed practical nurse services provided under the waiver services provisions of Chapter 101: MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter II, Section 19;

3. By 33% for registered nurse, licensed practical nurse and independent registered nurse services under the provisions of Chapter 101: MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter II, Section 96; and

4. By 33% for registered nurse and independent registered nurse services under the provisions of Chapter 101: MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter II, Section 43; and be it further

Sec. 2. Deadline for increase established. Resolved: That the Department of Health and Human Services shall increase the reimbursement rates in accordance with subsection 1 by January 15, 2016.
