Amend the bill in section 1 by striking out all of subsection 1-A (page 1, lines 3 to 7 in L.D.) and inserting the following:

Amend the bill in section 3 in §5250-U in subsection 1 in the last 2 lines (page 1, lines 16 and 17 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " , except that the call center does not need to satisfy the employee income requirements of section 5250-I, subsection 18"

Amend the bill by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.

SUMMARY

This amendment removes the provision in the bill that proposes to exempt call centers located in Aroostook and Washington counties from the Pine Tree Development Zone program employee income requirements. It also removes the aggregate weekly employment hours threshold from the definition of "call center."
